About Our Founder
Dr. Britney Scott
Dr. Scott is a physician, a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, a speaker, a podcaster, a poet, and a dreamer who believes that above all else, people matter. She started The Clinic Doctor for a few reasons. First, she was tired of seeing the already disenfranchised become further disenfranchised through medicine. Second, as a data and process-driven person herself, she was frustrated by the amount of 'lip-service' paid to issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion and knew that there was a better, more objective and action-oriented way to handle the topic. Third, she believes that if you see a problem that you can fix, you should never wait for someone else to fix it. So she decided to fix it.
Outside of her work, Dr. Scott is a kind, yet straight-forward Jamaican-American who loves to dance to reggae, dancehall, soca, and afrobeat. She loves food- from mom & pop shops to fine dining and everything in between. Lastly, she's a spoken word poet who's won multiple slam poetry competitions and has even been published in a poetry anthology. As a multifaceted black, female, child of immigrants, she loves being able to bring her whole self into the workplace and loves helping companies create environments that allow their employees to do the same.
